His main interest was to observe children during growth to develop and conclude which stages they best fit into. All of the 6 stages he created, represent the morality in which a child or adult can be. For this exercise, I have chosen to compare and contrast my thirteen year old autistic son, Matthew and my late grandfather, Merritt Cole who was 84 years old.
