Writing a review article is a wonderful way to develop and exercise your scientist skill set. I wrote a review article on histone modifers in B and T cells with my adviser when I was a graduate student. So, here, I will share my process with you. But before I do that, let me say that I was by no means an expert on this topic when I set out to write the review. Once you start reading, there will be a temptation to include every piece of information that was ever published. So, define your scope from the onset.
Maggie Montalvan, 28, Redding, Connecticut. PapersOwl is my lifebuoy. I have to work in parallel with my studies. And as a research paper takes too much time, Im pretty sure I would fail the task if I did it on my own. Thanks for professional writers and supports patience. Youre great!
Types of Scientific Literature – the Undergraduate Science Librarian
Scientific literature comprises scholarly publications that report original empirical and theoretical work in the natural and social sciences , and within an academic field, often abbreviated as the literature. Academic publishing is the process of contributing the results of one's research into the literature, which often requires a peer-review process. Original scientific research published for the first time in scientific journals is called the primary literature. Patents and technical reports , for minor research results and engineering and design work including computer software , can also be considered primary literature. Secondary sources include review articles which summarize the findings of published studies to highlight advances and new lines of research and books for large projects or broad arguments, including compilations of articles.
Jessica Stephens, 23, Anderson, New Jersey. The entire process was extremely easy! When I had questions about my order, the staff were extremely helpful. Not only was the writing superb but I also received an A on the assignment. This is why I continue to use this service when needed.
Write a Critical Review of a Scientific Journal Article
A literature review does not present an original argument. The purpose is to offer an overview of what is known about the topic and to evaluate the strength of the evidence on that topic. It usually contains a summary, a synthesis, or an analysis of the key arguments in the existing literature. The literature may come from books, articles, reports, or other formats.
